Lawrence has been pushing the boundaries of her wardrobe on the press tour for her new movie with various unexpected silhouettes, ranging from directional dresses by Proenza Schouler to print-on-print ensembles from Altuzarra. Her latest look, a white cotton and pleated tulle dress from Dior, was reminiscent of the sculptural styles favored by Kennedy and designed by Oleg Cassini.

Her fitted, athletic-inspired crop left just a sliver of skin, an ab-baring look she has experimented with in the past. The floaty, pretty pink skirt lent the ensemble a welcome touch of romance, and overall the effect was youthful and fresh. Grounding the outfit were clear, strappy sandals from Alexander Wang—a new take on the Lucite-heel craze of the summer—which were peppered with jewel-like embellishments at the ankle.

Her moody floral skirt, meanwhile, picked up on motifs favored by Oscar de la Renta and Giambattista Valli. It was a bit of a departure in tone for Lawrence, who was recently seen in Dior’s Princess top and ball skirt and Proenza Schouler’s red-and-black ’70s-inspired dress.
